V A S H N I
Vashni Lynsias Matthews, professionally known as “The AquaDice” is a singer, lyricist, songwriter, music composer, engineer and performer. With Vash’s compelling lyrics, accompanied by her majestic and fluid compositions, her sonic canvas paints a world of truth and sensitivity to the listener. With her silky vocals in addition to her strong lyrical delivery, Vashni provides you with the best of both worlds featuring herself from many different dynamics.
With a sense of strong core spiritual beliefs, Vashni believes that anything is possible if you have enough faith. Even if the rest of the rest of the world says no, as long as you say yes, you will see those yes’s manifest. Saying yes to the right things of well discernment has led Vash down a wondrous musical journey. Vashni was born in Memphis, TN of Victor and Robin Matthews. Vash grew up on the east side of Memphis where she started her journey and love for music. Vash was given her first piano and lessons as a gift from her grandmother at the age of 5. It has been a none stop journey of self discovery and pursuing the depths of her passion ever since. With little to no resources given, Vash has continued to build her name up independently through the difficult obstacles that come with being an openly homosexual woman of African descent in the music industry.
